Cấu trúc be going to
| Khẳng định | S + am/is/are/was/were + going to + V(nguyên thể) + O. |
| Phủ định | S + am/is/are/was/were + not + going to + V(nguyên thể) + O. |
| Nghi vấn | Am/Is/Are/Was/Were + S + going to + V(nguyên thể) + O? |
Cách sử dụng be going to
- Mô tả một quyết định hoặc một kế hoạch đã được dự tính trước trong tương lai.
Ví dụ: They are going to visit their family this weekend. (Họ dự tính đi thăm gia đình họ vào cuối tuần này.)
- Cấu trúc was/were + going to được sử dụng nhằm chỉ một dự định trong quá khứ nhưng không được thực hiện.
Ví dụ: I was going to go out with my friends, but I didn’t go. (Tôi dự tính sẽ đi chơi với bạn bè của mình, nhưng tôi đã không đi.)
- Sử dụng nhằm dự đoán một điều gì đó sắp xảy ra.
Ví dụ: Look at those black clouds! It’s going to rain. (Nhìn những đám mây đen kia kìa! Trời sắp mưa rồi đó.)
