Ôn tập kiến thức về câu điều kiện loại 1 trong tiếng Anh
Khái niệm
Câu điều kiện loại 1 hay còn được biết đến với tên gọi là câu điều kiện có thực ở hiện tại. Điều kiện có thể xảy ra ở hiện tại hay tương lai nhằm diễn tả một sự việc có thể xảy ra trong hiện tại hoặc tương lai.
Cấu trúc
| If + S + V (hiện tại), S + will + V (nguyên mẫu) |
Trong mệnh đề điều kiện, động từ (V) sẽ được chia ở thì hiện tại. Trong mệnh đề chính, động từ (V) sẽ được chia ở dạng nguyên thể.
=> Nói cách khác, ở câu điều kiện loại 1, mệnh đề IF sử dụng thì hiện tại đơn. Mệnh đề chính sử dụng thi tương lai đơn.
Một số ví dụ:
- If I tell her everything, she will know how much I love her.
=> Trong mệnh đề điều kiện, động từ tell được chia ở hiện tại, còn ở mệnh đề chính, động từ know được chia ở dạng nguyên mẫu.
- If it rains, we will not go to the cinema.
=> Trong mệnh đề điều kiện, động từ rains được chia ở thì hiện tại, còn ở mệnh đề chính, động từ go được sử dụng ở dạng nguyên mẫu.
Cách sử dụng câu điều kiện loại 1
- Chỉ sự việc có thể xảy ra ở thời điểm hiện tại hoặc tương lai:
Ví dụ: If I get up early in the morning, I will go to school on time.
- Có thể sử dụng nhằm đề nghị và gợi ý:
Ví dụ: If you need a ticket, I can get you one.
- Sử dụng trong trường hợp đưa ra một lời cảnh báo hay đe dọa:
Ví dụ: If you come in, he will kill you.
Một số trường hợp đặc biệt
- Đôi khi chúng ta có thể sử dụng thì hiện tại đơn trong cả hai mệnh đề. Cách sử dụng này có nghĩa là sự việc này luôn tự động xảy ra theo sau sự việc khác.
Ví dụ: If David has any money, he spends it.
- Có thể dùng “will” trong mệnh đề IF khi chúng ta muốn đưa ra một yêu cầu
Ví dụ: If you’ll wait a moment, I’ll find someone to help you. (= Please wait a moment)
- Có thể sử dụng thì hiện tại tiếp diễn (chẳng hạn như “are doing”) hoặc hiện tại hoàn thành (chẳng hạn như “have done”) tại mệnh đề IF
Ví dụ: If we’re expecting a lot of visitors, the museum will need a good clean.
